Dragons of the World

The final for my Sophomore Illustration I assignment was to illustrate a series of your choosing. It was around this time that I noticed my work for the last year was severely lacking in dragons, so I decided to make a series of dragons! Each dragon represents a different continent and the cultures on that continent. From top to bottom the dragons are Quetzelcoatl for South America, Au Guang for Asia, Aido-Hwedo for Africa, St. George and the Dragon for Europe, and the Piaza Bird for North America. Each one is about nine inches long and are all painted in gouache. I had a super fun time making each one of these!
